IRRIGATION SPECIALISTS

If you are considering purchasing a rainwater tank, we recommend installing a complete system to improve water quality and reduce tank maintenance. With a little planning, we can help you to design and install a system that will not only give you good quality water, but will reduce your reliance on mains water. Rainwater that is captured and stored correctly is a safe, economical and sustainable source of quality water that can supply your complete requirements.

Water is a natural harbour for viruses, bacteria and parasites. Bird and animal droppings can contaminate your water supply with these micro-organisms. Removing these health concerns is a simple process with either a filter, an automatic chemical free Ultra Violet system or a chlorine free liquid purifier.

Rain water filters provide extra confidence in your rainwater quality by filtering sediment, colour and odour from rainwater. Some filters are ideal for systems where rainwater is used inside the home, and others are ideal for tanks that supply water for outside use only.

Improving water quality by removing debris and sediment is simple with filter housings and cartridge elements. Select a housing that suits the flow rate you need:

10” for single outlets (15 to 30 litres per minute)
10” Jumbo for multiple outlets (35 to 75 litres per minute)
20” Jumbo for entire houses (70 to 120 litres per minute)

Choose a filter element to go with your housing to handle the debris and sediment in your water.

1 micron – extremely fine will also trap parasitic cysts best as a second stage before UV treatment
5 micron – popular for rainwater
10 micron – will remove all debris that is visible
20 micron – ideal as a first stage filter to improve the life of second stage filters
